Darshan Bhatt is Co-founder and Deputy CIO of Glovista Investments. Prior to Glovista, Darshan co-managed global macro strategies focusing on global equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities at Proxima Alfa Investments (USA) LLC (2003 to 2007). He worked at the firm’s Madrid (Spain) and New York office locations.

Prior to 2003, Darshan worked in JP Morgan’s US Equity Strategy and Institutional Investor-ranked Global Emerging Markets Equity Strategy team in New York. Darshan also worked in JP Morgan’s Mergers and Acquisitions group, where he worked on transactions in the IT services, semiconductor equipment, pharmaceutical and energy sectors. Darshan has also worked at SBK Brooks Investment Corp where he was involved in structuring and origination of municipal bonds. Prior to coming to the USA, Darshan worked as a tax consultant in two accounting firms in India specializing in income tax consulting.

Darshan holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Bombay University and a Masters in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University majoring in Finance and Strategy. He is also a Chartered Accountant (placed 33rd in the National Exam administered by the Institute of Charted Accountants of India), a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Market Technician (CMT).
