Fiona Bassett, Global Co-Head Product & Global Co-Head Passive, DWS met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss the firm’s holistic set of ESG solutions.
DWS has had a presence in the Environmental Social Governance or ESG space for decades. The global manager, first introduced impact investing in the 90’s, and started incorporating ESG into U.S. portfolios as early as 2006. “We have a long and strong heritage in ESG space,” says Bassett. Nearly twenty years later, today’s U.S. market is seeing a rising conscience from investors and a demand for solutions that aline with their values.
“We’ve committed to building out a broad product shelf of ESG solutions,” says Bassett. DWS was one of the first to launch an ESG liquidity fund, and has released four ESG ETFs since September 2018. Ultimately, DWS plans to expand its ESG product line in an effort to “deliver best in class core products, with highly competitive core pricing,” explains Bassett.
