Harley Lank, Head of High Income and Alternatives for Fidelity Investments, joined Julie Cooling, Founder and CEO of RIA Channel, at the CAIS Alternative Investment Summit to discuss the growth of alternative investments at Fidelity.
Fidelity Investments has a relationship with over 100,000 financial advisors and RIAs. By listening to those advisors, it became clear to Fidelity that it was a strategic imperative to improve its capabilities in alternative investments. In addition to offering a suite of solutions to meet the needs of advisors and their clients, Fidelity serves as an advisor to the advisor, providing assistance with portfolio analysis and construction. Advisors have access to a dedicated team of quantitative research analysts they can work with to understand portfolio construction and risk metrics. Fidelity can also provide a deep dive so advisors can understand the risk and return attributes of individual products.
Fidelity has launched a private credit fund which is available on the CAIS platform. This public, non-listed business development company (BDC) invests in senior secured, floating rate loans to middle market and larger borrowers.
