Direxion Launches Relative Weight ETFs

David Mazza, Managing Director, Head of Product, Direxion Investments met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss their new series of relative weight ETFs.

While 2018 brought strong performances in U.S. markets, large caps, and growth stocks, many investors are left wondering whether those trends will flip in 2019. ETF flows show up to three times more money moving into value stocks, and the slowdown on raising interest rates may indicate improved performance for small caps. Mazza believes that ultimately investors are preparing their portfolios for a reversal.

Direxion’s recently launched series of relative weight ETFs allow investors a convenient way to express their views of the market in a single ETF. For example, RWVG gives greater exposure to value, while RWGV is designed for those with an optimistic view of growth in the market.  Similarly, RWSL favors small caps, while RWLS gives greater exposure to large cap.
