Mark Hackett is the Chief Market Strategist at Nationwide. Mark spearheads Nationwide’s capital markets analysis initiative, aimed at educating financial advisors and their clients on financial markets and their implications for investors. In this role, he collaborates closely with internal teams on thought leadership, asset allocation and manager selection, providing essential macroeconomic and asset class insights. Mark’s insights have been featured in numerous media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CNBC, Reuters, MarketWatch, AP, and others. He also leads Nationwide’s public relations efforts on market-related topics. He also contributes weekly market commentary to the Nationwide Advisor Advocate Blog.

Mark brings nearly three decades of experience in the asset management industry, including serving as a portfolio manager for Nuveen, where he managed growth equity portfolios. He began his investment career at the Vanguard Group as a research associate in the fixed income group.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the University of Richmond Robbins School of Business. Further underscoring his commitment to financial literacy, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Market Technician, and holds a Series 7 license. Mark also serves on the board of the local Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Jeffrey Galloway, CFA® Jeffrey Galloway, CFA® Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager Amundi Asset Management US

Jeff Galloway is a Senior Vice President, Senior Credit Analyst, and Portfolio Manager at Amundi US. Jeff is Portfolio Manager for Flexible Income strategies and is a member of the Corporate Credit Research team, where he focuses primarily on telecom and media issuers across investment grade, high yield and leveraged loans. Jeff is a leader of Amundi US’s internal distressed credit team, which is responsible for analysis of stressed and distressed credits.

Prior to joining Amundi US in 2006, Jeff worked as a credit analyst for Lehman Brothers Asset Management/Neuberger Berman and Ritchie Capital. He also worked as an associate and analyst for Bank of America, where he helped underwrite and originate/distribute syndicated loans.

He holds a M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie College of Business, where he graduated with distinction and honors and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies. He is a CFA ® charterholder.

Daniel Conklin, CFA® Daniel Conklin, CFA® Portfolio Manager, Relative Return Team Loomis, Sayles & Company

Dan Conklin is a portfolio manager for the Relative Return Team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He co-manages the Loomis Sayles Intermediate Duration Bond and Limited Term Government & Agency funds. Dan also co-manages the Loomis Sayles Core Fixed Income, Short Duration Fixed Income and Intermediate Duration Fixed Income strategies.

Dan has 14 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 2012 as a fixed income analyst. Prior to joining Loomis Sayles he worked at Putnam Investments supporting the derivative collateralized process.

Dan earned a BS from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and an MS in Finance from Northeastern University. He is a CFA® charterholder.
