Koerner On Fidelity’s Active Equity ETFs

Richard Koerner, SVP of Sector and ETF Strategy, Fidelity Institutional Asset Management met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss Fidelity’s robust lineup of passive and active ETFs, and how advisors can leverage the family of funds to support their investment strategy.

In June of 2020, Fidelity Investments introduced the Fidelity Active Equity ETFs. The lineup includes: the Fidelity Blue Chip Growth ETF (FBCG), Fidelity Blue Chip Value ETF (FBCV), and the Fidelity New Millennium ETF (FMIL), which invests in emerging growth stocks likely to benefit from long-term changes in the market. These semi-transparent products provide access to Fidelity’s global equity research capabilities in a tax-efficient, flexible ETF wrapper. Leveraging the firm’s proprietary active portfolio management, the Fidelity Active Equity ETFs aim to outperform the market and deliver longterm enhanced returns.

In addition to the newly launched active ETFs, Fidelity offers a full menu of sector, factor, stock and bond ETF solutions. Emphasizing advisor choice and transparency, Fidelity’s investing tools and resources help advisors identify the right active or passive ETF product to fit their evolving investing strategy. Koerner collaborates with Fidelity’s investment management, product development, relationship management and distribution teams to help educate advisors and and identify opportunities to build long-term relationships.
