There has been a substantial growth of interval funds providing access to the private credit market. Interval funds allow accredited investors to access alternative investments, such as private credit, with potentially greater liquidity than is available in traditional closed-end private funds.

The private credit markets have expanded dramatically in the past decade, driving more interest from investors and flows into the space. However, even among the early adopters of the asset class, views and allocations are dominated by direct lending.
