Over 25 years of broad leadership and corporate strategy experience. As Managing Partner – Head of Investment Management, Lee oversees the firm’s business strategy, marketing, operations, analytics and investment management activities.

Prior to joining Forum, Lee was a strategic advisor to private and public companies in the U.S., U.K., and Europe, and served as Managing Partner leading corporate strategy at the private equity firm Kudu Investment Management. Over the prior fifteen years, Lee was a leadership team member at BlackRock, JP Morgan, and PIMCO, serving on various executive, operating, and global investment committees. Before becoming an executive leader, Lee was an account manager to institutional and middle market investors, including Fortune 1000 companies and Governmental Entities.

Lee began his career as a university coach and assistant professor and holds a BSE from State University of New York, MA from the University of Albany, MBA from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business, Executive Education in Negotiation and Leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a was a PhD candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder. Lee volunteers at several charities that protect at-risk youth and promote inner-city education, and published his first book in 2020, Thirteen Waves, an Amazon best seller.

Bert Crouch is a Managing Director and currently serves as a Portfolio Manager and Head of North America for Invesco Real Estate (IRE). Specifically, he is the Lead Portfolio Manager for the closed-end opportunistic fund series, Invesco Strategic Opportunities, as well as a member of the firm’s North American and Asia-Pacific Credit Investment Committees, North American Executive Committee, Platform Investments Committee and Global Executive Committee.

Bert began his investment career in 2002 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2010 to lead the formation and growth of its Structured Investments platform. Prior to joining Invesco, he served as the director of acquisitions for Presidio Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hunt Realty Investments, where he was responsible for leading the execution of Presidio’s investment strategy focused on the acquisition of secondary commercial mortgages and investments in public real estate securities. Before joining Presidio, he worked in the New York office of Wells Fargo’s Real Estate Merchant Banking group, where he originated and acquired highly structured commercial mortgage products.

Bert earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance, with honors, from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He also completed Wells Fargo’s Credit Management Training Program in San Francisco.

Prior to forming NewStar, Mr. DuPree most recently served as an executive for Preferred Apartment Communities, Inc. (“PAC”), a publicly-traded real estate investment trust that was acquired by Blackstone in 2022. From its initial public offering through the company’s sale to Blackstone, PAC issued more than $2.6 billion of non-listed preferred stock. While at PAC, Mr. DuPree launched and led a commercial property subsidiary, scaling to more than $1 billion in assets under management across more than three million square feet of Class A property, and assembling a $1 billion development pipeline of commercial and mixed-use projects across the Southeast and Texas. Before PAC, Mr. DuPree served on the investments team for Cousins (NYSE: CUZ), a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Atlanta, Georgia, and for Boston-based real estate investment fund Roseview Partners.

Mr. DuPree is a graduate and member of the Urban Land Institute’s Center for Leadership and a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He holds a B.S. in Finance from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mr. Herz previously served as Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Falcon Minerals Corporation (NASDAQ: FLMN) from August 2018 until June 2021, and served as a director from May 2020 until June 2021. Mr. Herz served as President of Atlas Energy Group, LLC (NYSE: ATLS) from April 2015 until October 2018. Mr. Herz served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy of the general partner of Atlas Energy, L.P. from February 2011 until its sale to Targa Resources, Inc. in February 2015. Mr. Herz was also Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Atlas Pipeline Partners GP, LLC from August 2007 until its sale to Targa Resources, Inc. in February 2015. He was also Senior Vice President of Corporate Development of Atlas Energy, Inc. and Atlas Energy Resources, LLC from August 2007 until its sale to Chevron Corporation in February 2011. Before that, Mr. Herz was Vice President of Corporate Development of Atlas Energy, Inc. and Atlas Pipeline Partners GP, LLC from December 2004 until August 2007. Also, from September 2016 until October 2018, Mr. Herz served as Titan Energy, LLC’s Chief Executive Officer, where he continued to serve as a Class A Director through April 2021. Mr. Herz was Chief Executive Officer of Titan’s predecessor, Atlas Resource Partners, L.P., from August 2015 until August 2018. Before that, he had served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy of the general partner of Atlas Resource Partners, L.P. from March 2012 to April 2015.

Over 30 years of real estate investment experience with demonstrated success developing and executing business strategies, and managing teams and systems. As CIO, Jay oversees the firm’s real estate investment team, chairs Forum’s investment committees, and is responsible for driving the firm’s continued growth through multifamily equity and debt investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Forum, Jay spent 16 years with DWS Group, a global asset management firm, where he was co-lead portfolio manager for the DWS flagship open-ended investment fund and, previously, lead portfolio manager for the firm’s value-add investment fund. Before that, Jay served as Executive Director, Corporate Solutions at JLL, a global real estate services firm. Jay was also an attorney with Orrick, an international law firm serving the technology, energy, and financial sectors, as well as Gordon & Rees, LLP.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & Religious Studies from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He currently sits on the Executive Board of the Real Estate & Construction Council for the City of Hope National Medical Center. Jay was an Independent Director and Audit Committee Chair at Shelton Capital Management from 2002 to 2014.

Chris A. Milner is a Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer – Real Assets at Cantor Fitzgerald Asset Management, and President of Cantor Fitzgerald Income Trust, Inc. Mr. Milner joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 2013. Previously, Mr. Milner spent 14 years at BlackRock and was a co-founder of their commercial real estate debt business. At BlackRock, Mr. Milner was Global Head of CRE Debt and private real estate debt funds as well as a member of BlackRock’s Corporate Leadership Committee, the Real Estate Executive Committee, and the Global Real Estate Investment Committee. Prior to joining BlackRock in 1997, Mr. Milner was responsible for commercial mortgage conduit production at PNC and was also a member of the PNC M&A team which acquired BlackRock and Midland Loan Services in 1995 and 1998, respectively. Mr. Milner has completed over 900 real estate debt, equity and capital markets transactions in North America, Europe, and Asia with an aggregate value of over $40 billion, including raising over $14 billion of investor capital. Mr. Milner received an MBA from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from DePauw University.
