Matthew Bartolini, CFA
Head of SPDR Americas Research
Matthew is a Vice President at State Street Global Advisors and Head of SPDR Americas Research. He manages a team responsible for the product research and analysis of SPDR ETFs, and the development of market outlooks, investment themes, and portfolio implementation ideas to help clients understand the market landscape and achieve their desired investment outcomes.
Matthew graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Economics and earned his MBA at Northeastern with concentrations in Investment Analytics and Corporate Finance. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analysts designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He also holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Marc Dummer, CAIA, CIMA®
Managing Director & Portfolio Manager
Marc is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for Principal Portfolio Strategies, a specialized boutique that engages in the creation of asset allocation solutions. In this role, he is responsible for conducting research, assessing risk, and making relative value recommendations relating to specific aspects of the Dynamic Outcome strategies. He is a member of the Investment Oversight and Risk Committee and has over 30 years of industry experience. Prior to his Portfolio Manager role, Marc was a Senior Relationship Manager for Principal Global Investors, where he represented portfolios to Principal Global Investor’s largest and most sophisticated institutional clients, with mandates spanning the equity, real estate, fixed-income, and currency asset classes. Before joining Principal®, he co-managed fixed-income general account assets for a group of privately held insurance companies. Marc received an M.B.A. and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Utah. Marc has earned the right to use the Certified Investment Management AnalystSM and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designations.
Ben Jones
Senior Analyst
Ben Jones joined Nasdaq Dorsey Wright in 2008 as a research intern. He began working in a full time capacity in December 2009 after he was graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) with a degree in World Politics and Policy. Over the years Ben has transitioned into a senior analyst role, directing several of the firm’s research and educational initiatives. Ben provides commentary for the Nasdaq Dorsey Wright “Daily Equity and Market Analysis Report” and consults with our broker-dealer clients worldwide. He is also a primary contributor to a number of specialized ETF reports, and has led the development of some of the firm’s investment solutions and tools. He also conducts training sessions around the world in the Point & Figure Methodology and Relative Strength investing.
Steve Jones, CFA
Sr. Director, Portfolio Specialist
Steve is a senior director, portfolio specialist focusing on Systematic Solutions at Principal Global Investors. Steve is responsible for client portfolio management, product development, and business strategy for Principal’s Global Systematic Solutions capabilities. Steve joined the firm in 2017. Prior to his current role, Steve served as a product manager, SVP at PIMCO. His experience includes both active and systematic equity strategies including PIMCO’s portable alpha program and strategies managed in partnership with Research Affiliates. He received an MBA from University of California at Irvine and a bachelor's degree in business from UC Riverside. Steve holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
John Lewis, CMT
Senior Portfolio Manager
John Lewis is a Senior Portfolio manager with Nasdaq Dorsey Wright. In this role, Mr. Lewis is responsible for the investment strategies used in various different indices and models.
Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Lewis has developed strategies for the firm’s Systematic Relative Strength series of separate accounts, the Technical Leaders Index methodology, global asset allocation strategies, and multiple series of UITs. His work is technically driven and focuses on relative strength and momentum as the main factors in the investment process.
One of the foremost experts on relative strength investing, Mr. Lewis has authored several original research papers on the subject. He is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and a member of the Market Technician’s Association and the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts.
Mr. Lewis earned an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from the University of San Diego.
He began his career in the investment industry in 1994. He is married and has two children.
Cameron Lilja
Director of Product Development
Cameron Lilja is the Director of Product Development for Nasdaq Global Information Services. He is responsible for the development of innovative, market-leading indexes, including the research and content generation necessary to support a successful index launch. He has been a featured speaker and panelist at industry events, discussing topics from smart beta to stock buybacks. Cameron previously served as a Senior Analyst for Nasdaq's Economic and Statistical Research team where he had the opportunity to advise all Nasdaq business lines while working on initiatives in the U.S. and Europe to improve market structure, encourage capital formation, and enhance trading efficiency.
Prior to joining Nasdaq, Cameron worked as a research analyst at Economists Incorporated and RBB Economics. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Economics from Dickinson College.
Jill Malandrino
Global Markets Reporter
Jill Malandrino, Global Markets Reporter, is the host of #TradeTalks and regularly reports from the Nasdaq MarketSite, Nasdaq PHLX Trading Floor and industry conferences.
Prior to joining Nasdaq, Jill was the Product Development Manager for The Street's OptionsProfits where she reported from the Nasdaq, NYSE, Chicago Board of Trade, CBOE and NYMEX trading floors. She was formerly on the institutional equity trading desks of Prudential Equity Group and H.C. Wainwright. Her 15 years of experience on Wall Street give her the insight to facilitate meaningful conversations with industry leader.

Matthew is a Managing Director - ETF Sales at Principal Global Investors. He is responsible for working across all Principal U.S. distribution channels to introduce and grow the Principal ETF franchise. U.S. Intermediary veteran with more than 25 years of successful experience growing and diversifying sales, revenue, and client bases, across multiple channels. Experience includes: Managing Director - Head of U.S. ETF sales at iShares/Blackrock, and Executive Vice President - Head of Retail Sales at Natixis. Graduate of the University of Dayton.
Jeffrey A. Schwarte, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Jeff is a portfolio manager for Principal Global Equities. He co-leads the firm’s global systematic solutions team. In this role, he is involved in all aspects of quantitative research, portfolio management and strategy development for the firm’s systematic equity strategies. Jeff joined the equities group in 2000 as an analyst, and was named a portfolio manager in 2001. He has been with Principal since 1993, holding various positions with the firm such as investment accountant and auditor. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. Jeff has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of Iowa and the CFA Institute. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI).
