Teucrium’s Gilbertie On Allocating To Commodity ETFs Using CORN, WEAT, SOYB & CANE

Sal Gilbertie, President & Founder, Teucrium Trading met with Julie Cooling, Founder & CEO, RIA Channel to discuss how today’s advisors are utilizing commodity ETFs in their portfolios.

Teucrium Trading puts together long-only, unleveraged commodity ETFs.  Primarily made up of agricultural products like corn and wheat, Gilbertie explains that, “the true ETFs are meant to give investors direct exposure to these vital commodities.” As a non-correlated investment, agriculture offers a way to diversify, at level pricing.

“In the past 11 years corn has doubled twice from the same levels,” says Gilbertie on the long term benefits of commodities. Today’s advisors are allocating to these products, watching the charts, and then rebalancing, according to Gilbertie.

Founded in 2009, Teucrium’s family of funds can be found on the NYSE and includes: CORN, WEAT, SOYB, CANE, TAGS.   To learn more on this topic head to Teucrium.com.
