Paul “Teddy” Fusaro is the President of Bitwise Asset Management and has served in such capacity since January 2021. Prior to joining Bitwise in April 2018, Mr. Fusaro was Senior Vice President and Head of Portfolio Management and Capital Markets at IndexIQ, the exchange traded fund unit of New York Life Investment Management, a firm with over $550 billion in AUM. In this capacity he oversaw portfolio management, trading, and operations for a suite of alternative strategy exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, Mr. Fusaro was Vice President of Portfolio Management and co-head of Trading and Operations at Direxion Investments, a $13 billion alternative exchange-traded fund manager. Earlier in his career, Mr. Fusaro spent time in both equity derivatives and credit derivatives at Goldman Sachs & Co. Mr. Fusaro is a graduate of Providence College.

Matt Hougan is one of the world’s leading experts on crypto, ETFs, and financial technology. Before joining Bitwise as CIO, Hougan was the CEO of ETF.com, where he helped build the world’s leading ETF media and analytics site. He is also the co-founder of Future Proof, Inside ETFs, and Exchange, some of the world’s largest financial advisor and ETF conference businesses. Hougan co-authored the CFA Institute Research Foundation’s guides to ETFs and crypto assets. He is a regular commentator on CNBC, Bloomberg, and Fox Business. He graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in philosophy.

Katherine Dowling serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Bitwise Asset Management. She previously served in General Counsel, CCO, and COO roles at several financial firms, and was a co-founder, Managing Director and COO of Luminate Capital Partners, a software private equity firm. A Harvard Law graduate, Katherine spent 10+ years as a federal prosecutor, most recently in the Economic Crimes Unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California, where she worked with the FBI, SEC, IRS and other agencies to prosecute insider trading, fraud, Ponzi schemes and money laundering cases, among others.

Ryan Rasmussen is the Head of Research at Bitwise Asset Management. Prior to Bitwise, he held a variety of corporate finance roles at Cetera Financial Group, a network of independent broker-dealers with over 8,000 financial advisors and $300 billion in assets under administration. Before Cetera, Ryan was a business analyst at Oakley and spent time as a research associate at UK Trade & Investment in Sydney, Australia. He is a graduate of the Argyros School of Business & Economics at Chapman University, with a B.S. in finance and a secondary focus in graphic and web design.

Juan Leon is the Senior Investment Strategist at Bitwise Asset Management where he leads investment strategy, research, product development, fund management, and supports sales and client relationships. Prior to Bitwise, he was a Portfolio Manager at U.S. Global Investors where he managed equity and fixed-income funds and designed quantitative investment strategies. Before that, Juan was a Financial Analyst at Rackspace Technology. He is a graduate of Trinity University, where he double majored in Political Science and Economics. Juan also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.

Carlie Donovan is Head of Intermediary at Bitwise Asset Management, where she oversees relationship management across Bitwise’s growing client base. In her role, Carlie works closely with Bitwise Regional Directors and Regional Consultants to assist advisors in navigating and understanding the evolving opportunities in crypto. Before Bitwise, Carlie spent more than a decade in a variety of senior sales roles at Natixis, one of the world’s largest asset managers. There, she managed the firm’s sales channels, spanning independent RIAs, wirehouses, and institutions, with a focus on people management and strategy. Carlie holds a B.A. in Physics and Philosophy from Colby College and an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, golfing, and crossword puzzles.
